Agriculture & The District
The District’s agricultural roots began in 1946. For 70 years we have continued to support local agricultural producers through our partnership with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
The District is involved directly in local agricultural endeavors through watershed protection projects and educational initiatives, and workshops.
The District works with agricultural producers through watershed protection projects. These projects offer assistance to farmers with implementing good practices, such as soil testing and vegetated buffers that protect water quality and improve soil health.
