Students from Rowe Elementary School make a Stormwater Stew

District Educator Chris Loew joined students at Rowe Elementary School this month.

Third graders learned about different sources of stormwater pollution as they followed the story of 5 alewives traveling downstream.

The alewives’ journey ends in the bay where all of the pollution accumulates to create a Stormwater Stew.

These young scientists shared their great ideas on ways to prevent our rivers and bays from becoming a polluted mess.
