Summer Campers Are Helping Keep Pollution Out Of Portland’s Water

New signs were recently added to the storm drains located around Rowe Elementary, Talbot Community School, and East End Community.

The District Educator spent time with the kids from the City of Portland’s Camp Venture to create the signs to prevent water pollution from getting into Capisic Brook and Casco Bay. After seeing a demonstration showing all the possible pollutants that can get into our water, the kids made the signs to help keep our water clean.

Be sure to check out the signs the kids made. They did an incredible job!

This activity is funded by the City of Portland through the Greener Neighborhoods Cleaner Streams program in collaboration with City of Portland Parks and Recreation.
