The CCSWCD works to conserve soil and water resources by tackling problems that threaten those resources. We rely on grants and fee-for-services to fund our work. By volunteering your time and skills, you could make a real difference to the work of the CCSWCD. Our soil and water resources are amazing – help us keep them that way.

If you’re reading this, you probably already have an interest in conservation and the environment. We want people like you who can inspire others about the work of the CCSWCD and tell them the benefits of getting involved themselves. CCSWCD performs a variety of services and can benefit from help preparing project materials, assisting in classrooms, meetings, and at community festivals, or applying your professional or personal skills like gardening, equipment maintenance, carpentry, and other specialties.

The more members we have contributing their time and skills, the more we can do to protect and improve Cumberland County’s natural resource.

All necessary training and background information will be provided. Mileage expenses are reimbursed.

Applicants must reside or work in Cumberland County, Maine. If you do not meet that requirement for us, consider contacting your local Soil & Water Conservation District.
