We Are Hiring a District Educator
The Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District is hiring a District Educator to support their classroom and adult education programs. The District Educator will work with the Education and Outreach Team to deliver lessons to K – 12 students in the classroom, outdoor classrooms or through field trips. NRCS Selects New District Conservationist for Cumberland and York Counties

A Look at Mare Brook’s Next Decade
In working with the Town of Brunswick, Maine Department of Environmental Protection (Maine DEP), and at least a dozen additional interested organizations, Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District (District) assisted in completing a 10-year plan outlining actions needed to restore Mare Brook’s water quality. Mare Brook is located in Brunswick, ME and is currently listed as impaired due to poor macroinvertebrate sampling results and poor macroinvertebrate habitat.
